Scene 93 – The final battle begins

SCENE 93 - PRELUDE TO THE FINAL BATTLE

               EXT. RIVER BED (ALTERNATE WORLD) - DAY

               SCOTT, VALERIE AND TREY RUN TO DANIEL

               Daniel is seated with his back to a tree.

                                     DANIEL
                         Scott!

               As Scott, Valerie and Trey near Daniel they come to a quick
               stop.

               FROM BEHIND THE TREE

               Montague steps out.  Bruised face.  Weapon in hand.

               Indio and Loria also appear from behind trees to each side
               of them.  Indio's shoulder bleeds from his gunshot, while
               Loria's neck oozes blood from her stab wound.

               INSERT DANIEL'S HANDS TIED BEHIND HIM WITH GOLD CORD

               SCOTT AND VALERIE SEE DANIEL'S TIED HANDS

                                     VALERIE
                         What did you do to him?

                                     MONTAGUE
                         We did nothing.  All the damage to
                         him was done when Cookson took his
                         body.  I must confess I did not
                         think he would live this long
                         without his lifeline, being such a
                         weak one.

               Daniel looks up at Montague, fear on his face.

                                     DANIEL
                         I'm sorry, Scott.  I couldn't fight
                         them all.

                                     SCOTT
                         That's all right, Daniel.  We're
                         here now.

                                     INDIO
                         And you will stay here for many
                         long time.

                                     MONTAGUE
                         The wounds you caused us will
                         disappear when we take over your
                         bodies and return to our world.                       

               Loria sidles up to Montague.                                                         

                                     LORIA
                         I can't wait to walk around in my
                         new body.                                                                  

               Montague strokes Loria's cheek.                                                      

                                     MONTAGUE
                         A beautiful specimen.                                                      

                                     VALERIE
                         It's not for sale.  And if you try
                         again I'll stab your eyes out.                                             

               A GUST OF WIND                                                                       

               SWIRLING DUST blows upon them.                                                       

                                     INDIO
                              (shouting over the
                              wind)
                         It is time, my Lord!                                                       

                                     LORIA
                         The sun has not yet set!                                                   

                                     INDIO
                         But they are upon us!                                                      

                                     MONTAGUE
                         We have waited too long for this
                         moment!  We will not surrender!
                         Take them now!                                                             

               The evil trio moves toward the mortals.                                              

               VALERIE HOLDS SCOTT                                                                  

                                     VALERIE
                         What do we do?!                                                            

                                     SCOTT
                         We fight them.  And we beat them.
                         For good this time.                                                        

                                     TREY
                         I'm ready.  Bring it on evil dude.
